The Mobilization and Deployment Information System – ORDERS tool is a web-based tool used by the Chief of Staff of the Army (CSA), Forces Command (FORSCOM) and the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) that automates the workflows needed to issue unit deployment orders. Missions are staffed with the respective Army HQs to obtain concurrence / acknowledgement of the subordinate commands of the tasked mission. Upon completion of staffing, unit deployment orders are issued by the respective Army HQ.

The result – MDIS ORDERS provides the Army with significant savings by consolidating multiple disparate orders generation systems and their affiliated workflows into one authoritative system of record. The DOD saved more money by doing this then that which was spent for the entire MOBCOP suite.
